FAQs

Alpha Tire
  • How often should I have my brakes inspected?

We recommend having your brakes inspected at least once annually, or sooner if you experience any warning signs like unusual sounds, diminished braking ability, or dashboard warning indicators.
  • What are the signs that my brakes need attention?

Common indicators of brake problems include squealing or grinding sounds, a brake pedal that feels soft or spongy, vibrations during braking, or a brake warning light appearing on your dashboard.
  • How long do brake pads and rotors typically last?

Brake pad and rotor longevity depends on your driving style and conditions. Typically, brake pads last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles, while rotors often last longer, ranging from 70,000 to 100,000 miles.
  • Do I need to have an appointment?

We prefer appointments to better serve you, though we gladly accept walk-ins as well.
  • Can I drive with worn-out brake pads?

We don't recommend driving with worn brake pads, as this significantly reduces your vehicle's braking ability and creates serious safety concerns. Replacing worn pads promptly is essential for maintaining proper brake function.
  • What are your hours?

We're open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 7:30 am to 12 pm.
